Categories Provincial Notices The Rt Revd Mlibo Ngewu, RIP Post date 9th Feb 2020 It is with a heavy heart, and following consultation with Mrs Mpumi Ngewu, that I announce the death of Bishop Mlibo Ngewu, formerly of Mzimvubu. On behalf of the Synod of Bishops — now in session — my wife Lungi, my family and the whole of ACSA, we send our heartfelt condolences to the family. Mlibo will buried on Friday, the 21st February 2020 from Qumbu parish. The requiem will start at 11 am. Please continue to pray for Mpumi and the children and whole family as they mourn the loss of Bishop Mlibo . Our family was privileged and fortunate to meet Bishop Ngewu in EGcuwa at Holy Wisdom when he was still a Deacon under the parish of St Chads. Our family suffered the devastating loss of a child and he travelled with us all the way to Bizana to lay to rest our son and give us comfort. Later we met again during his ministry as Bishop of Umzimvubu, he ministered to us greatly on the expected position of a Christian towards those one may consider their enemies. He preached forgiveness and prayer for those who wronged us. His last sermon that he shared with us he reminded us of Gideon, who faced with the Midianites God assured him that he must release his army and be left with only 300 , so that victory cannot be claimed by Israel as coming from their own strength. He extolled the virtue of leaning upon God’s strength and not ones own . To Mpumi and the children, may you be strengthened during this time. May his eternal soul Rest In Peace.
