Lesotho delegates election of new Bishop

Kindly be informed that the Elective Assembly of the Diocese of Lesotho did not elect a Bishop at its sitting on Friday 23rd April, 2021.

The Assembly is delegating their Election of a Bishop to the Synod of Bishops.

Sincerely in Christ,

The representatives to the elective assembly; do not pray and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It cannot be that all the past elective assemblies they fail to elect. It also brings to question; mentorship and grooming clergy to be eligible to the Epicopate.

Thank you for letting us Know! It looks like the Bishops will have their hands full on their next meetings.

I hope the Synod will elect from the two Lesotho candidates that made it to the finals. Or even better make the one with most votes the bishop and the one with the least votes the suffragan.

Thanks for the updates. This is unbelievable out of so many candidates they still failed to elect. Sometimes the deliberations during an election of a bishop leaves the Diocese divided.

When the Assembly delegates the elections to the Bishops that means it was not able to elect amongst the proposed candidates. It would therefore be more appropriate for a new name altogether.
