Categories News Celebrating the life of Canon John Suggit Post date 31st July 2023 The Diocese of False Bay has announced the funeral service of the Revd Canon Prof. John Suggit, who died on Sunday July 30, aged 101. “Canon Suggit will always be remembered for his contributions made to the life of the Anglican Church in Southern Africa and the wider Communion as a renowned theologian and humble priest,” the Diocese noted. A Requiem Mass in Thanksgiving for Canon Suggit will take place on Friday, 4 August at the Parish Church of St Margaret of Antioch, Fish Hoek, beginning at 15h00. Bishop Margaret Vertue shall preside and Archbishop Thabo Makgoba will be the preacher at the service.
